This article will go through what a 'Doll Page' is and how to correctly format and contribute to a doll page.

This template applies to doll pages only. A different format is used for playsets, including playsets that include dolls.

Linking

Every doll page should be linked from the dolls page, in alphabetical order by year of release.

Infobox

Every playset page uses the default "Doll Line" infobox template. This is the only infobox template that should be displayed on doll pages.

This template is automatically placed to the right of the page. It should be placed at the top of the page, before the introduction but under any header images.

  • Copy and paste this template onto any doll page to use it.

You can check out Template:Doll Line for information and how to fill out the doll infobox.

Text

This section will go through the types of text that should be included on doll pages. Each section should start with a header.

Introduction

The introduction should be in the top left of the page and should state the doll line name and year of release.

If you're still confused you can use this template:

"DOLL LINE was a line of BRAND dolls released in YEAR."

For example, the intro for Beach Party is:

"Beach Party was a line of Bratz dolls released in 2002."

Description

The description section should include the "manufacturers description", that is, what MGA Entertainment describes the line as. These can be found on official product listings, press releases, the old MGA Entertainment website, the old Bratz and sometimes on the back of doll boxes.

For example, the description for Flashback Fever is:

"It's a blast from the past! Get ready to step back in time with the Bratz and the Bratz Boyz as they deck out in the hottest retro-fashion looks for a night like no other! Whether it's the Mod 60's, the groovilicious 70's, or the awesome 80's, just leave it to the girls with a passion for fashion to make what was once old, totally new, and stylin' all over again!"

This description was found on the old MGA Entertainment website.

Contents

Some doll pages may have a contents section, below the "description" section and above the "variants" section.

This section should include a list of content that comes with each doll, this could include but is not limited too:

  • Any additional clothing items
  • Furniture
  • Beauty products such as lipglosses and lipbalms
  • Accessories such as hats, headbands, brushes and mirrors
  • Any pets and pet accessories

For example the contents section for Flashback Fever reads as follows:

* Doll
* Tops x 2
* Bottoms x 2
* Pair of Shoes x 2
* Hat
* Headband
* Visor
* Backpack x 2

Variants

Some doll pages may have a variants section, below the "contents" section.

Sometimes, a doll, it's packaging or its accessories are manufactured one way for a while, and then there's a change made in the process, resulting in two (or more) versions of a specific doll. These versions are called variants.

All variants should be listed starting with V1 (Variant 1), being the first version products. Factory errors are not considered variants.

For example the variants section for Funk 'N' Glow (1st Edition) reads as follows:

* V1: Each box has “2002 Fall Limited Edition” printed at the top of box.
* V2: Name and logo printed in upper left corner
* V3: “Funk ‘N’ Glow Collection” printed at top of box.
* V4: Released under the name "Funky Lights".

Each doll in the line should have their own gallery named after the dolls name.

The dolls gallery should only include images of the doll this should include a picture of the doll in the box, the back of the box, the doll out of box and a close up of the face (screening). All images in this gallery should be in jpg format.
