This article will go through what a 'Playset' page is and how to correctly format and contribute to a playset page.

This template applies to playset pages only. A different format is used for dolls.

Linking

Every playset page should be linked from the playsets page, in alphabetical order by year of release.

Infobox

Every playset page uses the default "Playset" infobox template. This is the only infobox template that should be displayed on playset pages. This template is automatically placed to the right of the page. It should be placed at the top of the page, before the introduction but under any header images.

Copy and paste this template onto any playset page to use it.

You can check out Template:Playset for information and how to fill out the playset infobox.

Text

This section will go through the types of text that should be included on playset pages. Each section should start with a header.

Introduction

The introduction should be in the top left of the page and should state the playset name and year of release. Almost all playsets were released as part of a collection, so that information should be included if applicable. For example the "Princess Throne" playset is part of the "Princess" collection.

If you're still confused you can use this template:

PLAYSET NAME was a BRAND NAME playset released in YEAR as part of the COLLECTION NAME collection.

For example, the intro for Formal Funk Super-Stylin' Runway Disco is:

Formal Funk Super-Stylin' Runway Disco was a Bratz playset released in 2003 as part of the Formal Funk collection.

Description

The description section should include the "manufacturers description", that is, what MGA Entertainment describes the playset as. These can be found on official product listings, press releases, the old MGA Entertainment website, the old Bratz website and sometimes on the back of playset boxes.

For example, the description for Campfire Tent Set is:

Spend a wild night with the girls at their very own campsite as they rough it in sizzlin’ style with this totally-hot tent set that includes everything to make the getaway gorgeous and the outdoors outta-sight!

This description was found on the old MGAE website.

Contents

This section should include a list of content that comes with the playset, this could include but is not limited too:

  • Dolls and what they are wearing
  • Pets and what they are wearing
  • Any additional clothing items
  • Furniture
  • Beauty products such as lipglosses and lipbalms
  • Miscellaneous items such as fake food, fake makeup, fake flowers etc.

For example, the content section for Campfire Tent Set is:

* Tent
* Blanket
* Portable Stove
* Lantern
* Thermos
* Pan with Lid
* Tin Cup
* Power Bars x 2
* Video Camera
* Compass
* Gas Tank
* Soda Cans x 2

Galleries

Dolls

The doll gallery should be the first gallery on the page; below the "contents" section but above the "playset" section. If a doll is not included in the set, this section can be deleted. If more than one doll is included in the set, both dolls should have their own section with each section named after each individual character.

The dolls gallery should only include images of the doll or dolls included with the playset, this should include a picture of the doll out of box and a close up of the face (screening). All images in this gallery should be in jpg format.
