Bratz in Playland

Bratz In Playland (Also known as Paris I) is episode 20 of season one of Bratz: The Series.

It was later released along with the two other Paris episodes as Bratz: Go to Paris the Movie.

Plot

Byron confesses to the girls that he is an undercover spy, investigating a case involving poisoned super-models in Paris. The girls go through training and begin to argue over who Byron will select to go on the mission.

Summary

In a flashback we see the first time Yasmin met Sasha, Jade and Cloe. They give her the nickname Pretty Princess and invite her to walk in their pretend fashion show.

Back in the present, the Bratz girls are looking through old photo albums. They decide to throw a party to celebrate 15-years of friendship. Whilst planning the party Byron calls Yasmin as he is being chased by thugs. He fights them off and makes plans with Yasmin to meet her and the girls the day after tomorrow.

At the Your Thing office Burdine announces that advertisers are pulling out of the magazine because of Bratz magazines success. She order Kaycee and Kirstee to spy on Bratz magazine and steal their ideas.

In the Bratz Magazine Office Yasmin is suffering from writers block and is worried she won't get her short story done in time for an upcoming writing contest. Byron shows up to the office carrying a large package that had been left outside. He sets it down and shows the girls a presentation of different models, including Simone, the worlds top supermodel. Byron tells the Bratz not only is he a TV judge but a government spy and he needs their help.

He shows them a photo of Simone at top fashion designer Jean-Paul's preview show two weeks before looking healthy and beautiful. He then shows them a recent picture of Simone in which she has aged horribly in a matter of weeks. She is the third model to have been poisoned with an aging potion and Byron's team suspects someone is doing it to hurt Jean-Paul's career. Unknown to the girls, Kaycee and Kirstee are inside the box listening to everything.

Byron wants the girls to go to Paris as undercover runway models and find out who is behind the attacks. The girls are excited to go but Byron tells them they that only two of them can come to Paris and that they must first pass his test.

Burdine decides to beat the Bratz at their game by sending Kaycee and Kirstee to Paris as undercover models, hoping they will solve the mystery first and she can take all the credit. The fame from taking down a criminal will bring attention to the magazine and sales will rocket.

Cloe, Jade, Yasmin and Sasha begin training for Paris. Sasha believes she should go as she knows people in Paris, Jade believes she should go because Jean-Paul is her favourite designer and knows the names of all his colleagues, Yasmin believes going to Paris will cure her writers block and Cloe believes she should go because she knows some French. Yasmin tells the girls she feels like they always leave her behind.

In a flashback we see Cloe, Jade, Yasmin and Sasha racing when Yasmin falls off her bike after running over a doll Kaycee and Kirstee had placed as a trap. Yasmin calls her friends for help but they have already sped away and don't hear her. Back in the present they decided rather than argue they will take Byron's test and let him choose and they would support whoever got to go.

Byron and Burdine each put their teams through several tests. Whilst Kaycee and Kirstee fail miserably, the Bratz girls pass all the tests with flying colours. The final test is a motorcycle race. Although the girls have been arguing all through the training they stop racing when Yasmin falls off her bike and rush to help her, telling Byron that Yasmin is more important than Paris. They find Yasmin and help her recover, then come to the mutual decision that they all go or none of them go.

Byron tells them the girls they passed, as the real test was whether they would be there for one another. He tells them all four girls will go to Paris.

Trivia

  • The girls have been friends since they were Babyz for 15 years, which makes them around 15-16 years old.
  • At 2:11, Kumi can be seen on the cover of Bratz Magazine.
  • At 8:29, Cloe's outfit randomly changes from her treasures outfit to her standard outfit and then back again.
