Crush In A Rush is the first episode of the first season of Bratz and the first episode of the series overall.

Summary[]

The girls try to balance writing a dating article while planning the Wild Life Safari Party. Dylan gives Eitan advice on how to ask out his crush, who happens to be Yasmin, trying to get a date with her. Meanwhile, Yasmin struggles to write a poem for her English class.

Plot[]

At the smoothie bar Sasha shows Cloe and Dylan the new shoes she got for Cloe's upcoming Wild LIfe Safari Party. Eitan, their friend who works at the smoothie bar, brings them their drinks over and asks where Yasmin is. Cloe tells him she's at the library stressing about a poem due Monday.

Cloe asks Eitan about his date to the party and he reveals that he thinks the girl he wants to ask won't want to go with him. Dylan offers his advice and Sasha and Cloe agree it would be a good idea for Eitan to write an article on 'how to get a girl to go out with you'. Sasha tries to find out who his crush is, but he refuses to tell. Meanwhile, Kaycee and Kirstee are eavesdropping on his conversation and both assume themselves to be Eitan's crush.

In the Your Thing office, Burdine overhears her interns, Kaycee and Kirstee talking about the Bratz article and tells them to write an article on 'how to get a guy to go out with you'. They consult a book 'The losers guide to dating, dining and dumping' and practice their flirting technique.

Meanwhile, the 'toy' parrots that Cloe ordered for her party turn out to be real parrots. They offer the parrots to Eitan, but he refuses. He announces his plans to ask out his crush, but Jade, Cloe and Sasha decide he needs a makeover first. As Eitan is leaving he bumps into Cameron and Dylan who fix his hair. Dylan gives him a ear mic so he can coach Eitan when he asks his crush out.

Eitan goes to talk to Yasmin, revealing her to be his crush. Whilst Eitan tries to ask her out, Dylan whispers him advice through the mic in his ear. Eitan mishears his advice and ends up insulting Yasmin's outfit.

Burdine attempts online dating. She matches with a tall, blonde and handsome guy and lies about being younger than her age. Meanwhile, Dylan is teaching Eitan how to 'swagger' when Cloe's parrots escape and pop the balloons that were supposed to be for the party.

Using Dylan's new advice, Eitan attempts to ask Yasmin out a second time. He swaggers up to her, poses and tries to impress her with her strength by lifting up a garbage can, but he ends up falling over. Yasmin helps Eitan up and giggles at his high pitched voice when he says he's fine. He asks her to the party, but she reveals that she won't be able to go unless she gets her poem done in time, but might go, pleasing Eitan.

As Eitan returns to work he is cornered by Kaycee and Kirstee who trip over the garbage when attempting to show Eitan their dance moves.

Dylan takes Eitan shopping to buy Yasmin some 'bling'. He ends up getting her a rose, then a bouquet of roses, followed by a whole cart of roses. Yasmin laughs at his gifts, making Eitan smile.

As Eitan and Dylan are helping Cloe, Sasha and Jade set up the party, they talk about Eitan's crush. Dylan tries to give him more advice, but Eitan tells him he's doing things his way. As Yasmin is practicing her poem Eitan sneaks into the rooms and sings 'What I Feel Inside' to her. Yasmin laughs and agrees to go to the party with him, delighting Eitan.

However unknown to Eitan, Kaycee and Kirstee were spying on them. The twins reveal that Eitan only asked her out because he's working on an article for the magazine, upsetting Yasmin. She confronts her friends, asking why they would set her up to be hurt like that and runs away. It is only then the girls realise that Yasmin is Eitan's crush.

Eitan asks Yasmin when he should pick her up for the party and she angrily tells him she never wants to see or speak to him again. Meanwhile, Kaycee and Kirstee turn their attention towards Cameron who runs away from their attempts at flirting.

Eitan goes the Bratz magazine office and tells Yasmin that her friends didn't know he was writing an article about her. He tells her he's liked her since she was walked into his juice bar the summer before and correct her spelling of pomegranate. He tells her he got advice from Dylan and Yasmin laughs. Yasmin lets him into the office and he helps her finish her poem.

A rainstorm destroys Cloe's party. They move the supplies to the Bratz magazine office where they make up with Yasmin.

Burdine goes to meet her internet date, SlickFox who turns out to be Dylan. Realising they both catfished each other, they agree to part ways without telling anyone about their date.

Cloe's Wild Life Safari party is a hit. Kaycee and Kirstee gate crash, and Sasha gives them the parrots as party favours, who proceed to chase them from the room. Eitan and Yasmin hold hands and dance together.

Crush In A Rush was featured in the Bratz: Rock Angelz movie as a bonus episode.
The girls wear their outfits from the Wild Life Safari collection. Only Sasha's and Jade's weren't released in the line, with Sasha having Fianna's outfit and Jade wearing Meygan's
The episode reveals that Burdine had a face lift.
Dylan mentions Orlando Bloom, this is the first time a real world person has been mentioned in Bratz. The second time was Ariane Grande in episode 1 of Talking Bratz.
Kirstee tells Cameron she can name all the characters on 'My life to live'. My Life to Live is a 1962 French New Wave drama film directed by Jean-Luc Godard. However given the subject matter, and Kirstee preferences, its likely she is talking about a fictional show within the Bratz universe and not the 1962 film.
