The Bratz 500 is the 3rd episode of Season 2 of Bratz: The Series.

Plot[]

Bryon hires the girls to investigate some high-definite jewelry robberies from local museums while going undercover as a race crew in the Vacudor 500 to find the bad guy.

Synopsis[]

A mask figure breaks into a museum and steals a diamond.

A news presenter gives an update on the upcoming final of the Vacudor 500, which is to take place the following Saturday in the duchy of Luxenstein. One of the contestants is Liam, a British teenage superstar who has a huge fanbase and has become a "certified teen heartthrob".

Jade shows Yasmin, Sasha and Cloe the newscast in order to convince them to let her interview Liam for the magazine, as Jade has a crush on him. Although he isn't there usual choice of interviewee, they agree to let Jade include him in the magazine if she can score the interview.

Byron mysteriously appears in the office and tells the girls he can help them score the interview with Liam. He tells them he needs them to some undercover work. At first the girls refuse, until Byron tells them that Liam is in grave danger.

He explains that every time that Vacudor 500 visits a host city, that city has suffered a jewel theft from it's local museum. Byron suspects that the thief is affiliated somehow with the Vacudor 500. Byron states this can't be Liam, as Liam is the son of top secret minister of international security and has volunteered to help investigate the crimes. Jades if of course quick to sign up and after some convincing the girls agree to go with her.

Byron and the girls fly to Luxenstein. Unfortunately for them Burdine Maxwell, Editor-in-chief of rival magazine, Your Thing, has flown to Luxenstein along with her interns, Kaycee and Kirstee to interview three-time Vacudor 500 runner up, Billy Bob Nitro, who Burdine has a huge crush on.

Byron tells the girls they are going undercover as a race time, 3 of them as the pit crew and one as a race car driver. Byron chooses Jade, as she has been given 8 speeding tickets in the last year, which makes her perfect for racing. Jade is ecstatic to hear that Liam is a fan of their magazine and knows who they are. Poppy Crankwell, Liam's mechanic, tries to push the girls away from the track. Poppy doesn't like the idea of Liam going undercover.

Jade is sent to train with Liam who has to convince her to use the break a little more. During their training Liam accidentally puts his hand on top of Jade's, causing her to blush. Cloe, Yasmin and Sasha train as pit crew, but constantly mess up, much to Poppy's displeasure. Since Billy hates the girls and their investigation, they begin to suspect he must be the jewel thief. Cloe cleans up Poppy's workshop whilst Sasha and Yasmin follow Bobby to see what he's doing.

Meanwhile Burdine interviews Billy Bob as her interns look on in disgust. When Kaycee and Kirstee accidentally scratch Billy Bob's favorite boomerang Burdine orders them to clean his car. Whilst following Poppy, Sasha and Yasmin hear Billy Bob expressing a clear dislike of Liam. Just as they add him to their suspect list, Liam's car is stolen.

Byron investigates a burglary at the Luxenstein Museum of Precious Gem Stones and then rushes to the crime scene. Cloe explains she was cleaning the workshop when someone hit her on the head from behind and stole Liam's car. Suddenly the car returns, being driven by Jade. She explains she was driving back when she saw Liam's car and assuming Liam was inside, pulled over to talk to him. The thief jumped out the car and ran away before Jade could see his face.

Inside the car Jade finds some tools, when Byron suspected he must've used to break into the museum and Poppy's baseball cap. They tell Byron that they think that the jewel thief is either Poppy or Billy Bob.

Jade tells the girls she has a newfound love for race car driving and doesn't care much about Liam anymore. Although it's dangerous, she still wants to compete in the race. Billy Bob plays unfairly, knocking into a contestants car and then driving Jade off of the race track, but she quickly managers to recover. Byron who is presenting the race, announces that Liam is in first place, Billy Bob in second and Jade in third.

Billy Bob is forced to break when trying to fit round a tight turn and ends up spinning on the edge of a cliff. Stuck, he is forced to quit the race. As Jade and Liam race to the finish, she tells him how she thinks Billy Bob has it in for Liam. He thanks her, but then rudely tells her she got rid of his real competition and refers to her as a "silly little girl". He tries to order Jade several times to give up and let him win the race. Jade calls him a spoiled brat.

Liam begins driving east to the Dravakia border. Byron tells the girls that Drakavia is a country that welcomes criminals. He orders Jade to follow Liam. At first she is reluctant as she is about to win the race, but then remembering the real reason she's there she turns the car around and begins to follow Liam. As he's about to reach the border, Jade drives in front of him and Liam crashes into her car, causing them to both spin to a stop. Whilst Jade is fine, Liam is injured and as he falls from the car a hatch of stolen jewels is revealed.

Byron, Cloe, Sasha, Yasmin and the police arrive to arrest Liam. Billy Bob apologises the girls for passing judgment on them and shows them his 1st place trophy. The girls apologies in return to jumping to conclusions, but ask Billy Bob why he was storming around the day before. He tells them he fetched a padlock as the "pink ladies" where driving him nuts.
