Jean-Paul is a character that appears in several episodes of the Bratz TV series.

History

Jean-Paul was born and raised in Paris, France. At some point in his life he began designing clothes under the name Jean-Paul Fashion that eventually became famous all over the world, including in America where Jade became a fan of his work.

Jean-Paul is first mentioned in the episode Bratz In Ragland when Byron shows the girls images of Simone at Jean-Pauls preview show two weeks before. He tells the girls that Simone is the third model to work with Jean-Paul to be poisoned. The models where all selected to appear in Jean-Paul's spring show and Byron asks the girls to help him capture the culprit.

He makes his first official appearance in the Bratz in Franceland. He is directing rehearsals for his spring show, but dislikes everything about the show, such as the clothes, the lighting and the music. When Byron introduces him to "models" Cloe, Jade, Sasha and Yasmin Jean-Paul is overjoyed.

He later asks Jade for help with finishing his collection as he has no inspiration to draw from. She agrees to help him after he almost quits designing out of stress. Later than evening he argues with Elemina about her poaching his models.

Although Jade is a big help, Jean-Paul is once again dishearten to learn his top model Monique has been poisoned. He cancels his Spring Show, not wanting to put another model at risk. When Jade confronts Jean-Paul he tells he has no inspiration left and asks her to finish his collection for her. She agrees.

He is in disbelief when the Elemina is arrested for poisoning the models. After spending some more time with Jade he asks her to be the face of Jean-Paul Fashion as he finds her look to be unique.

Jean-Paul is devastated to learn Jade is sick and cannot walk in his show. He agrees to the show must go on (as per Jade's wish). Later when Nicole is arrested and the models are restored he can be seen running around behind the stage in his usual panic. He tells Jade thanks to her help his new clothing line is a huge success.

Jean-Paul has dark grey short hair, a grey beard and moustache, deep brown eyes and rosy cheeks.

Style

Jean-Paul's default outfit is a blue pinstriped three piece suit with a red tie and black shoes.

Personality

Jean-Paul does not work well under pressure. He has a tendency to overreact and throw things when stressed.

Relationships

Jade

Jean-Paul first notices Jade because she has a unique style. The two bond over their love of cats. Jean-Paul hires her as his lead model. Jade admires him a lot and refers to him as "the worlds hottest designer". He later asks her to help him complete his latest collection, makes her the face of Jean-Paul Fashion and refers to her as his "muse".

Sasha, Yasmin and Cloe

Elemina

According to Jean-Paul he and Elemina fight all the time, although they do not hate each other. Jean-Paul describes her as a "whiny, petty woman with the charm of a rottweiler and the temperament of a chihuahua". However he also does not believe she could poison someone and says that "deep down she is a pussy cat".

Nicole

Jean-Paul finds Nicole beautiful, but also refers to her as "supermodel next door". He doesn't seem to care for Nicole much as he replaces her with other models whenever he gets the chance.

Gaston

Stella Style

Stella Style is Jean-Pauls rival designer. According to Jean-Paul she dresses like a lamp.

Monique

He refers to Monique, one of the poisoned models as "my dear Monique" suggesting they have a solid friendship.

Pets

After finding new models for his show he phones his assistant Pierre and tells him to cancel his will and that his cats will have to wait, meaning he left all his belongings to his cats.

Pierre

Pierre is Jean-Paul's assistant.
