New Kid In Town is episode 19 of season 1 of Bratz: The Series.

Plot

Shane is the new guy in school and he is so stylin' that the Bratz are fighting over him!

Synopsis

Cloe receives a letter from a magazine reader who is crushing on the same guy as her best friends. Cloe recalls a time in the past when she had the same problem.

Jade is at school when she walks past a new guy, Shane, who she thinks is a "major hottie". He compliments Jade's outfit and she's so happy that she doesn't watch where she's going and trips and falls into a trash can. She quickly recovers and rushes to tell Yasmin and Cloe about Shane, but they've already seen him and fallen head over heels. Shane comes to talk to them about their favorite music and Sasha sits at the table and tells him she likes Usher. When Shane leaves the table to take a phone call Sasha tells the girls that Shane is hers.

Kirstee and Kaycee are gossiping in the toilet when Burdine finds them and orders them to get back to work. In the Your Thing office they find Burnice, Burdine's identical twin sister, sitting at Burdine's desk. She calls them sweetie and compliments their shoes. They run from the office to the toilet to see Burdine as she spotted them. She ask how the gum got stuck in the vending machine and Kaycee told her it was an accident. She then grabs her shoes and throws at them as they ran out back to the office, confused how Burdine is in two places at once (unaware she has a twin sister). They come to the "logical" explanation that Burdine must be a alien.

Sasha, Jade and Cloe argue who gets to date Shane, whilst Yasmin decides no guy is worth fighting over so she won't date him at all. Kaycee and Kirstee ask the Bratz where the library is because they think Burdine is an alien. Jade jokingly tell them they have to go because their UFO leaves in 5 minutes. This joke leads the tweevils to believe the Bratz are also aliens.

Kaycee and Kirstee purchase a copy of UFO Daily, a science fiction magazine and read an article called "How to tell if your boss is an alien".

Yasmin is doing yoga at the park when she is joined by Shane who asks her if she wants to get a tofu burger with him. Although she said she wouldn't date him she agrees to go anyway. When Shane starts talking about soulmates Yasmin starts to tell him she's not interested in him like that but he cuts her of, telling her he's actually interested in Jade. Sasha, Cloe and Jade walk past the restaurant and see Shane and Yasmin having lunch together and assume they are on a date.

Burdine and Burnice, who has been fighting over who is more successful all day, receive a call from Entertainment Stilesville, a magazine looking to do a story on the cities two most powerful twins. Whilst Burdine goes to get a chemical face peel to prepare for their photoshoot, Burnice stays in the Your Thing office and begins looking through Burdine's things.

The Bratz are angry and confront Yasmin at the Bratz Magazine office. Yasmin tells the girls that Shane is into Jade.

Kaycee and Kirstee set up some traps in the Your Thing office to test if Burdine is an alien, however they end up trapping Burnice instead. Burnice recovers and tells the twins to have a week off, but when they go to get their stuff and leave Burdine tells them to get to work. This convinces the twins that Burdine has amnesia.

Shane and Jade go on a date to a club but Jade is bored out of her mind by Shane's dull conversation topics. She asks him to dance but he refuses, fearful he will mess up his hair. She rants to the girls at the office about how boring he is. Sasha decides to go on a date to the smoothie bar with Shane, which angers Jade who hadn't yet decided if she wanted to continue dating him or not.

At the smoothie bar Cloe watches as Cameron flirts with Roxxi in front of her, upsetting her. Shane joins her and says Sasha only wants to be friends and asks her out. Cloe gleefully accepts but when she goes to the school gym to tell the girls about how date they reveal that Shane has been dating every girl in the school and rating them on a scoreboard kept in the boys locker room.

Kaycee and Kirstee spray all Burdine's clothes with "anti-radiation spray" so she can't emit radiation onto them. They then offer to help her get ready for her interview and photoshoot with Entertainment Stilesville. Burnice and Burdine go into the office at the same time wearing different clothing and for the first time Kaycee and Kirstee realise the pair are identical twins, not aliens.

Entertainment Stilesville show up to film the interview but Burdine ends up itching from the anti-radiation spray and falls over, dragging Burnice down with her. The two end up fighting and the interview is cancelled.

Cloe goes on a date with Shane to the smoothie bar. Shane promises he's not seeing anyone but her and leans it for a kiss but Cloe's phone rings and she walks away from the table to answer it. Yasmin sits next to Shane who invites her to go a nature walk date. She agrees and rushes to order a smoothie to take with her.

Sasha joins Shane at the table and asks if they're still on the for the movie date they had planned for Friday. Shane notices Cloe coming back to the table so gets up to leave but bumps into Jade who invites him to come to a blow-drying seminar with her that weekend. Shane agrees and then tries to run away with Cloe, but is stopped by Yasmin. The four begin to argue about which one of them is really dating Shane. Shane screams.

At school the girls think they have taught Shane a lesson, but then find out he is dating both Kirstee and Kaycee. They decide dating the tweevils is punishment enough.

Trivia

  • Meygan is mentioned as one of the girls Shane has been dating.

Mistakes & Errors

  • At 5:27 Sasha's voice comes out of Cloe's mouth.
  • Sasha says she and Shane went dancing at Pinz, which is located in London. A flight from Stilesville to London and back would 20 hours, so it is impossible that they went there in one night.
