The Wicked Queen is a media exclusive character who appears in Bratz Kidz: Fairy Tales.

She is voiced by Marcy Goldberg.

History[]

The Queen is first seen spying on Jade (Snow White) from outside the dwarf's cottage, planning to visit her the next day to kill her with a poisoned apple whilst under the guise of an old hag. As her envy mounts over the unknowing girl, the Queen is curious to see if Snow White has lost her beauty so she asks her mirror the infamous question: "who's the fairest in the land", though the mirror tells her that Jade is still the fairest, to her annoyance. Whilst plotting, she impulsively takes a bite of an apple she had conjured but manages to spit it out in time. When Jade leaves the dwarfs house to fend for herself, the Queen follows her and produces a bunch of poisoned grapes to lure her into her demise. When she once again consults her mirror, she is shocked to find out that three other girls (Cloe, Sasha and Yasmin) as well as Jade have surpassed her beauty.

Seconds after this revelation, her plans are cut short when Jade reunites with her friends and discards the grapes, provoking her to attack all the girls. The Witch joins the chase and ends up fighting over Rapunzel with her. As the two women fight, they are pushed into the well with the wolf following the same fate later on. Eventually, she teams up with the wolf and witch and the three escape from the well. Under the condition that the witch keeps Rapunzel locked away until she's old and ugly as well as the fact the wolf will eat the other girls, this will hopefully secure her position as the fairest in the land.

By nightfall, the villains re-encounter the girls but soon find themselves lost in the woods. After the witch is thrown down into the well, the Queen becomes exhausted from the running and the wolf desires to eat her, having grown intensely hungry. The frightened Queen realizes what he plans to do and attempts to escape by slowly backing away. Unfortunately, she stumbles back and is eaten alive (offscreen).

Appearance[]

The Queen has a slender physique along with pale skin, dark blue eyes and long pink hair. Her outfit consists of silver spiked crown and a navy blue gown adorned with silver jewels around the skirt. She appears to have magical powers in which she can use to create items or food. She initially carried a handheld mirror around with her until it was knocked out of her hand.

Personality[]

Similar to many adaptions of the Evil Queen, she is a selfish and cruel woman who seeks out to get rid of Snow White in order to become the fairest in the land. In this rendition, she appears to be very aggressive, as shown when she gets into a fight with the witch as well as trying to kill the girls. Despite this, she appears to be quite foolish as she almost kills herself via eating the poisoned apple.

Relationships[]

Jade[]

The Queen despises her own stepdaughter, Snow White (Jade), for taking her place as the "fairest in the land" and is ambitious of getting rid of her for good.

Cloe, Sasha and Yasmin[]

When the girls disrupt Jade from eating the poisoned grapes, the Queen threatens to harm them.

The Witch[]

The Queen initially shows hostility to the witch for interfering with her plans. When they're pushed into the well, they team up to take down the Bratz. She along with the wolf break their deal with the Witch after she injures herself and abandon her.

The Wolf[]

The Queen teams up with the wolf to take down the Bratz, allowing the wolf to eat three of them. Near the climax, she is betrayed by the wolf and ultimately eaten by him.

Trivia[]

  • Strangely, though she was able to conjure a poisoned apple and grapes with her bare hands, she couldn't create a meal for the wolf to eat in order to save herself.
  • The Queen could arguably be viewed as the most evil villain in the film. All the witch wants is some company in the tower and Cinderella's stepfamily want to marry into royalty for money. While the wolf desires to eat the girls, this is simply due to animal nature whilst the queen willingly wants to murder the girls for her own selfish desires.
  • This marks as one of the few renditions where the Queen does not take any form of disguise to kill Snow White, although this was her initial plan but it was never finalised.
  • This also marks one of the renditions where the Queen character suffers an unusual fate. Some adaptations have her die of rage, falling off a cliff, killed by the dwarfs, or even killed at Snow White's wedding. Here she is eaten by her own ally.
